A Model Facility for Healthcare

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in partnership with the University of Glasgow, have built a Teaching and Learning Facility. This facility yields benefits for staff and students and ultimately improve services for patients and their communities.

The £25 million Queen Elizabeth Teaching and Learning building, is an investment to provide a training environment for the clinical years of the undergraduate medical degree (MBChB) as well as other NHS professionals and will ensure that we can train the next generation of doctors, scientists and clinical academics.

The four-storey building houses three floors devoted to a wide variety of learning and teaching facilities as well as social and public spaces. Key facilities include a 500 seat auditorium, conference space, a wide variety of lecture and seminar spaces, a flexible teaching laboratory, a 12 bed clinical skills facility, learning resources centre, e-library and a knowledge exchange area as well as incorporating state-of-the-art AV and internet e-learning technology.
